On 11 November 2024, the Wiesbaden High School Warrior Battalion supported the United States Army Garrison Wiesbaden and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service by providing a Flag Detail and Honour Guard for their annual Veteran’s Day observance.

The event began with the posting of the American and German national colors and the National League of Families POW/MIA flag. The color guard was commanded by C/CPT Sophia Durant, with C/SSG Kaeden Provost carrying the German colors. The Guards were C/PVT Emma Spahl and C/PVT Shelby Osborne.

Following the posting of the colors, LTC (Ret.) Jon A. Ring led the congregation through a moment of silence in honor of the lives lost in defense of the United States. Following the silence, Mr. Tanner Jones, on behalf of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, made several remarks. During his speech, he said that, “It is a promise to serve those who serve and to be a part of your community, alongside you in every way we can.” Remarks were then made by LTC (ret) Jon Ring. In his speech, LTC Ring recognizes those who have served our country and is thankful to have “worked with our military, the best in the world, first hand.”

Following the speeches, the honor guard, provided by the Wiesbaden High School Warrior Battalion, marched into position before forming a saber arc in order to honor the veterans. The event was concluded as the last of the veterans gathered there walked through the saber arc.
