On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the Waimea Menehune Battalion hosted its annual Menehune Adventure Challenge (MAC), a Raider Team physical skills competition 💪🏻 that brought together JROTC cadets from across the state of Hawaii. The event featured schools from Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island, with 130 people in attendance.

Held at Waimea High School, the Waimea River Mouth, Waimea Athletic Field Park, and Waimea County Pool, the MAC event challenged cadets through a full day of physically demanding and team-oriented activities. The competition included a 2-mile beach run 🏃🏻‍♀️, “paddle battle”, team fitness test 🏋🏽, 🏊‍♀️ 400-meter swim relay, one-rope bridge, “spider crossing” rope bridge 🧗🏼‍♀️, and an obstacle course—all designed to test cadets’ endurance, leadership, and teamwork.

Throughout the day, cadets demonstrated determination, discipline, and resilience as they pushed themselves and supported one another through each event. The Menehune Adventure Challenge ended with an afternoon award ceremony. Congratulations to all contestants for their participation.
