Tinian Jr./Sr. High School – JROTC Stallion Battalion Holds Battalion Formation

October 7th, 2024 – Tinian Middle and High School hosted the Tinian JROTC Stallion Battalion award ceremony to recognize the commitment and accomplishments of the Cadets. The ceremony was attended by parents and featured awards such as the Superior Cadet award, Military Officer’s Association of America JROTC Award (MOAA), and Golden Bear JROTC Medal. Cadets Kya Adriano, Johndel Almonte, Jireh Cruz, Ken Litulumar, Ava John, and Kymani Nabors were ranked up to the rank of C/PFC.

C/1LT Matthew Sarmiento was promoted to the role of HQ Company Commander and took over his company shortly after. The ceremony concluded with an inspiring speech from Tinian Stallion Battalion’s Senior Army Instructor Captain Joseph Santos. Cadets shared their thoughts on the battalion formation, with C/LTC Ysabella Palacios feeling excited to bring back the hard-work and dedication of the cadets. C/1LT Matthew Sarmiento found the formation highly rewarding, highlighting the importance of teamwork and discipline. The event was well-organized and well-received by the cadets.
