On Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 am, our esteemed members of the Garfield High School Mighty Bulldawg Battalion participated in the posting and retiring of the colors for the Veterans’ Day Ceremony at Cinco Puntos, East Los Angeles. A yearly tradition, established to recognize all who have served in the past and present for their sacrifices and their selfless service for our country.

This year, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard conducted a special pinning ceremony for all members that served in the Vietnam Era. After 30 years of faithful service, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard, the first Mexican-American woman elected to congress, will retire later this year. For over 30 years, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard has encouraged the younger generation of Latinos to push forward and unite during these challenging times. Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard has been an avid supporter of the Garfield High School Army JROTC, the Bulldawg Battalion often corresponds with her office on notable community events in the Los Angeles community.

To all Veterans, “We don’t know all of you, but we owe all of you.”
