These 55 JROTC Cadets consisted of young women & young men assembled into one Platoon. They along with 200 other Cadets from 27 High Schools from across our great state of Arkansas represented each of their School Districts this past week. I’m proud and honored to have been given the opportunity along with SFC Rupe of Arkadelphia High School to have led and mentored 4th Platoon which included two of my five Cadets from Newport Arkansas this past week at Camp Robinson. Well done 4th Platoon! There were a lot 16 to 18 hour days starting anywhere from 4:45 AM to 5:15 AM. Our days were filled with Physical Fitness Test, Daily Leadership Positions for each Cadet to develop their Leadership Skills, Confidence Obstacle Course, Leadership Reactionary Course, Survival Skills Lanes, Drown Proofing Training at University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR) Swimming Pool, Land Navigation & Map Reading, & Rappelling from the dreaded 50’ Rappel Tower. 4th Platoon Led the Way All The Way!!!
