New event, held in Dallas, TX every spring, teams qualify through the REC foundation robotics program to attend this event
JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB)
Program to challenge JROTC Cadets to learn values of leadership and citizenship while preparing for higher education milestones.
- All-Army Leadership Bowl – Hands on STEM activities to include activities in the DC area such as a lying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and activities in the local DC area (Smithsonian’s and DC Mall)
- All-Service Academic Bowl – A high-level trivia event in which ends in a service-on-service final event
Army National Drill Team Championships
This event is held every spring at the Ocean Center in Daytona. 108 Army teams are nominated by BDE’s to compete for this title. JROTC Instructors and active duty Drill Sergeants serve as judges. Teams compete in four disciplines of drill. Regulation, Exhibition, Color Guard and Inspection in both the armed and unarmed divisions.
National High School Drill Team Championships
This event is held every spring at the Ocean Center in Daytona. Teams from all services participate to compete for this title. Active duty Drill Sergeants from all services serve as judges. Teams compete in four disciplines of drill. Regulation, Exhibition, Color Guard and Inspection in both the armed and unarmed divisions.
National JROTC Fitness Championships
This event is held every spring on the beach in Daytona. Teams from all services participate to compete for this title. Active duty Drill Sergeants from all services serve as judges. Teams compete in five disciplines of fitness. Team run, Obstacle course, Pull-ups, Standing long jump and seated medicine ball throw.
JROTC Air Rifle National Championships
Three Regionals are held by all service JROTC’s every February and March. Over 300 Cadets qualify for these events. The top teams in both sporter and precision air rifle move on to compete in the National Championships
Raider Competitions are athletic competitions held at JROTC programs around the world. Events take place outdoors and usually consist of individual strength test (push-ups, tire-drag, obstacle course, etc), distance team running events, first aid events, and some form of rope bridge construction/crossing. Individual events may vary.
A three level competition that concludes with two teams from each service competing for the JROTC championship. Over 3,000 teams register to compete in the level one portion of this event.
New event, 2 National championships held each year in Sandy, UT and Louisville, KY
RADC Drone World Championships
New event, location and date still TBD. This year teams will compete in the RADC competition to attend and can use any of the approved drones.
