Mitchell County High School started the new school year with their new NDCC JROTC program: Mitchell County Eagle Battalion. The JROTC Program falls under the umbrella with Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is preparing Georgia’s students with the skills and education needed for the next step after high school whether it be college, beginning a career, or serving in the military. CTAE students here at Mitchell County High School now have 10 pathways which includes JROTC.

The Junior Reserve Officers’ Corp (JROTC) is an awesome program that teaches high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. Chief Jones, states that we are teaching “character education”.

Here at Mitchell County High School, we are Motivating Young People To Be Better Citizens!!
