Garfield High School – JROTC Attends 89th East Los Angeles Football Game

The East Los Angeles Classic between Garfield High School’s Bulldogs and Theodore Roosevelt High School’s Rough Riders took place on October 25, 2024, at SO-FI Stadium, with a record attendance of almost 45,000 people. This 89-year tradition celebrates the community, with both schools participating in various events leading up to the game. Excitement was incited both on and off camera, with performances by bands, cheerleaders, and even a first time female flag football team. The halftime show featured a performance by the Black Eyed Peas. Garfield ultimately emerged victorious with a 38-28 win over Roosevelt, marking a historic moment that brought the community together in celebration.
