39th Annual Kingdom Day Parade

On Monday January 15, 2024, the Garfield High School Army JROTC Mighty Bulldawg Battalion Elite Color Guard had the distinct honor of starting off the 39th Annual Kingdom day (theme banner) parade along with the rest of the battalion as a numbered entry.

The Kingdom Day Parade is Americas Largest & Longest Running Life Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King. The members of the Bulldawg Battalion were deeply honored to be participants of such monumental event honoring Dr. King. Each year the Kingdom parade brings more awareness to this nation’s past injustices and inequalities. Important lessons to learn for each year’s holiday celebration is that Dr. King fought for the rights & dignity for all people, and his voice speaks in an inspirational tone. It is important for us all to remember and aspire, to continue working toward an equitable world.
