On April 24, 2025, Tri-Cities High School hosted the Fulton County Schools Military Recognition Day in the Viola Turner Theater. The event celebrated cadets and students from across the county who have enlisted in the armed forces, attending a service academy, or participating in a college ROTC program.
The ceremony began with the **National Anthem**, performed by Dasaiya Primus, and the **Presentation of Colors** by the Tri-Cities High School JROTC Color Guard. Representatives from the Army, Georgia National Guard, Marines, Navy, and Air Force were present to recognize the honorees.
Enlistments
- **Army**: 32 cadets enlisted.
- **Army National Guard**: 17 cadets enlisted.
- **Marine Corps**: 5 cadets enlisted.
- **Navy**: 5 cadets enlisted.
- **Air Force**: 2 cadets enlisted.
Recognition
Certificates of appreciation were presented by Fulton County Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney, and Deputy of Army Instruction LTC Titus Brown awarded honorees with commemorative coins. Each cadet was recognized by a representative from every branch of service.
JROTC Mission and Impact
The JROTC program aims to motivate young people to become better citizens by developing leadership, social, emotional, and academic skills. The program has a significant impact on students and the community, fostering leadership development, academic improvement, community engagement, and career preparation.
Community Impact
