October 18, 2024 – JROTC Patriot Battalion Cadets from Denbigh High School went on a tour of the Pentagon in Washington D.C., where the Cadets got a closer look at one of the nation’s most iconic institutions. This was a unique opportunity to tour the Pentagon, the heart of the U.S. Department of Defense.

During the visit, the cadets toured several key areas, including the Pentagon Memorial, which honors those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The Patriot Battalion members learned about the Pentagon’s history, architecture, and its critical role in national security, gaining insights into the inner workings of U.S. military leadership. Additionally, they engaged in discussions with military personnel, who shared firsthand experiences and career advice, offering a deeper perspective on military service and the various paths within the armed forces.

The trip reinforced the values of leadership, discipline, and patriotism, which are central to the JROTC program, inspiring many cadets to consider future careers in military or government service. For the Patriot Battalion, this day was not only educational but also profoundly motivational, deepening their commitment to serving their community and country.
