Fort Hamilton’s Tiger Battalion’s Thanksgiving Food Drive.

November 17th, 2017- The Tiger Battalion has been collecting canned foods and nonperishable items for the past 2 weeks for the starving. Since thanksgiving is right around the corner, the Tiger Battalion has collaborated with the Salvation Army to supply those who are less fortunate with something to eat this Thanksgiving. “We have collected over 30 carts of canned foods,” Said our AI, Sergeant First Class Freeland.

Throughout Fort Hamilton High School, many classes and many clubs have donated to the cause. Teachers and faculty have also been donating many nonperishable items. On November 17th,2017, the Salvation Army trucks came to Fort Hamilton to pick up the donated goods. Our cadets helped sort the cans and other items that were given. “I really feel good because we are making a difference,” said Ms. Kaye Houlihan, principal of Fort Hamilton. “I just hope others are thinking about the less fortunate this Thanksgiving.
