The rainy weather and cold temperatures didn’t hinder the Olympic JROTC Brigade from supporting the annual Charlotte Run, Run, Rudolph 5K. Cadets provided hot chocolate, water and moral support for the over 350 runners as well as supporting the Charlotte Running Store with ensuring that people live a healthy and active lifestyle and promoting the importance of wearing proper running shoes. “I’m glad to be a part of something that supports my community and encouraging people to stay fit” says Brigade Operations Officer C/Nathan Inige. “I am not fan of the wet or the cold but when my cadets are involved in supporting our community, they can always count on me” stated Army Instructor SFC(R) Trenica Gbani. This was very exciting event for the cadets as Run, Run, Rudolph was the first 5K community event that they were able to fully participate in since the COVID19 outbreak. The cadet missed being out engaged in their communities, spending time together, returning to some sense of normalcy and showing their Trojan Pride. “WAY TO GO, BIG O”
