On Nov. 17, 2021, the Wiesbaden Education Center requested that the Warrior Battalion assist with the Annual Graduation Recognition Ceremony, honoring those receiving degrees from online colleges. The Tony Bass Auditorium hosted the event and the attendees included Garrison Commander Colonel Mario Washington, Command Sergeant Major Richard Russell, as well as the family and friends of the graduates.

The event began with the graduates' arrival, as they walked through the Honor Guard on their way to be seated. Cadet Command Sergeant Major Mary Dizor and Cadet First Sergeant McKinley Viers led the Honor Guard. Viers said, “The Saber Guard today went well. I felt confident in my leadership, and I’m glad we were able to provide the graduates with an honorable saber guard.” The Saber Guard consisted of a number of 8th-grade cadets from the Warrior Battalion’s leadership program and various other cadets.

Next, the German and American flags were presented, and the Wiesbaden High School Choir performed the German and American National Anthems. Cadet Private First Class Elaina Colon led the Color Guard and carried the American flag. Cadet Private Bryson Kay presented the German flag, while Viers and Cadet Private First Class David Matz carried rifles. This is one of many Color Guards Colon has participated in throughout her two years with the Warrior Battalion. Colon stated, “I believe the Color Guard today went rather well, and I realized it was a great learning experience not only for me but for my fellow cadets and those I led.” The Warrior Battalion was honored by the Education Center’s request, and hopes for many more opportunities to assist the community.
