    Field Day

On October 16th, Garinger High School cadets competed in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) JROTC Field Day hosted by Hough High School. The event consisted of 20 participating schools in CMS. Some events were the 4x100, 800-meter race, pull-ups, flex arm hang, long jump, and tug a war. Our cadets practiced during PT days and after school.

Overall, the Wildcat Battalion males placed second to the winner Olympic High School. This is the highest placement for Garinger High in 8 years. C/LTC Magaly Morales and C/CSM Marian Dakiwas are grateful for the hard work and dedication of the cadets gave during training. At the end of the day, every school gave 100%, but fellowshipping with other schools is what made this a wonderful event.
