SAN ANTONIO, TX -- On 14 Sep 2021, Brackenridge High School JROTC hosted its first ‘virtual’ CyberPatriot training session of the school year.

We were fortunate to have Mr. Victor MalloyProject Manager, Texas Cybersecurity Compliance Program,Mr. Joe Sanchez, Foundation Director, Executive Director and Secretary of the Board for Cyber Texas, andMs. Monique LaPlante, Cyber Texas Program Manager in attendance to walk us through initial steps and program expectations.

We started with a small group of Cadets, but hope to continue expanding the teams in the days ahead. Ms. Dinsdale, one of the BHS CTE Dept. Chairs also supported, providing a space in the Computer Science room and assisting the Cadets as needed to ensure they were all able to log in and take full advantage of the expert mentors in attendance.

We are excited about our first Face2Face session on Thursday when the Cadet will get some vital ‘hands on’ training.
