SAN JOSE, NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS -- Starting the month of September with fresh, new, and motivated leaders. Tinian’s Stallion Battalion hosts their first promotion of the school year. In addition to this, we have started our promotion board for the new cadets wanting to rank up to private and private first class. The private and private first class promotion board is evaluated by our Senior Army and Army Instructors, CPT Joseph Santos and 1SG Jose King. These cadets would have to pass the requirements from the instructors, in order to earn the PVT2 & PFC ranks. The requirements consist of learning the Chain of Command, the Preamble of the Constitution, our Cadet Creed, our Mission Statement, the Rank Structure, and the basics of JROTC. After succeeding the promotion board from the instructors, the cadets would go to the Non-commissioned Officer and Officer promotion board. This time the cadets would study the requirements for the positions from CPL to SGM and 2nd LT to CPT. The staff, company leaders, and the top 3 of the battalion would evaluate for the NCO and Officer promotion board.

Moving on to the achievements and events this month. Congratulations to all the cadets that have been promoted to PVT2 and PFC. Keep up the good work and never stop hustling! Next, Tinian’s JROTC will be hosting our formal Change of Command ceremony, which will showcase the new staff, company leaders, and the top three of our battalion.

Before I conclude this article, I would like to take this time to recognize and pay tribute to the 13 fallen heroes of Afghanistan. We are sending condolences to the families of these heroes and we will never forget the sacrifice they made. In addition, thank you to all the servicemen and women for sacrificing your lives to make ours better. We truly appreciate all you do and your work does not go unnoticed. Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for more!
