The American Red Cross is excited to kick off its annual Youth Action Campaign JROTC Competition! Congratulations to the 2020-2021 International Champions, the Ansbach Middle High School Cougars, as well as all the teams who led such amazing campaigns.

This year, JROTC cadets from across the globe will compete to design and lead campaigns that help spread awareness about this year's theme, IHL and how it helps protect and preserve cultural property during armed conflict. Teams will have the opportunity learn about IHL and educate fellow cadets, classmates, and community members about this globally important topic!

Teams can count their participation in this competition as a service-learning project and/or community service hours!

There is no minimum or maximum number of cadets for a team and schools can enter multiple teams into the competition. During the 2020-2021 competition, the average team was made up of 10-12 cadets.

At the end of the school year, an INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION will be crowned. The winning team will be able to select five team members to participate in a fully funded trip to Washington, D.C. during summer 2022 to participate in the prestigious Red Cross Youth Action Campaign National Summit event.

Check out the resources below for more information on how to form a team and compete. You are each welcome to join us virtually on either August 18th or August 24th for an informational meeting about the competition (see below for registration details).
