DALLAS, TX -- The Mesquite ISD JROTC Program successfully hosted its first North Texas JROTC Vex Robotics Competition on 27 March 2021. There were a total of fifteen teams representing four different school districts in attendance. The Mesquite ISD JROTC program is continuing on its quest to add more STEM activities to its co-curricular offerings. This is in an effort to meet the expectations of our students who are looking for rigorous and realistic experiences as they prepare for collage, career or the military.

Two teams from Granbury High School’s Marine Corps JROTC program took top honors with the alliance of Mesquite High School and North Mesquite High School taking second place. The program intends to make this an annual event with hopes of attracting more JROTC robotics teams.
