SAIPAN, CNMI -- On March 6th, 2021, the Marianas High School Dolphin Battalion hosted the Annual Extreme Raider Challenge. Despite the pandemic and inability to start school face to face, the Battalion’s Raider Team consistently arranged practices and had team members come in to safely conduct practices. We can now say that all those practices paid off.
After a light warm up which consisted of pushups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and mile run, all the teams got prepared to compete. This school year’s Extreme Raiders Challenge included the 1.5 beach run with two fifteen pounds rucksacks and two twenty five pounds rucksacks, the group pull-ups, the obstacle course -consisting of the tire flip, tire carry, and fireman carry-, litter carry, rope bridge, and the van push.
This school year we invited a special group of people to compete with us: the University of Guam/ Northern Marianas College ROTC Program. Including our guest team, we had a total of 5 teams: PROA Warriors, Team Itim, Taco Belle, Chow Debu, and Island Made. The competition was safely conducted and nobody was injured throughout the competition. Congratulations to all the competitors who passed their limits and went above and beyond!
