BOONVILLE, MO -- In January the BTEC JROTC assisted the CCHD in issuing the COVID-19 vaccination to residents of Cooper county Missouri. The cadets were staged throughout the park assisting with traffic control. Cadets were handing out different brochures to the residents explaining side effects and also the cards telling the residents when they will be getting the second vaccination shot. Cadets volunteered to brave the coldest day of the year at that point to assist the Health Department in their issuing of the vaccine. Between the two days the Cooper County Health Department vaccinated approximately 1100 people.
