WIESBADEN, GERMANY -- DoDEA students living in Wiesbaden, Germany have been attending class since the beginning of the school year. Athletic teams were placed on hold; however, cadets in JROTC were able to train in marksmanship. Based on the outstanding initiative and motivation of the Warrior Cadets, we were able to accomplish a higher level of training for both new and returning marksmen.
Recently as COVID has spread exponentially which has led to new tighter restrictions going into place around the country. Most notably, all schools are transitioning to remote learning until the situation stabilizes and in person instruction is approved.
As luck would have it, the Warrior Battalion had planned for this possibility and front loaded key training and requirements. The Warrior Battalion scheduled the record Cadet Challenge event and completed all testing of all cadets on 15 December, and commenced training for the Army Postal Match. On Monday the 14th of December, we were told that Tuesday would be our last day at school and the training would be restricted for the Army JROTC Postal match in February.
