CARLISLE, PA -- Cadets from the Cedar Cliff High School JROTC program headlined the Cumberland County Veterans Day observances in the Veterans Memorial Courtyard at the public square in downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, November 11th, 2020. Cadets Abigail DelliGatti, Allison Delozier, Benjamin Kruleski, and Khoi Ngo performed Color Guard duties to both open and close the ceremonies. Local civic leaders bestowed the honor of placing a memorial wreath on the monument and plaque for valor located in the center of the city to Cadets Liam Dupler and Nina Zheng. Local celebrity and radio personality R.J. Harris spoke about the importance of holding a Veterans Day observance while the Cedar Cliff JROTC contingent quietly stood watch over the colors. Kathy O’Donnell sang the National Anthem, Dr. Donald Roeder played taps and the Cumberland County Honor Guard fired a rifle salute. Afterwards, the cadets were treated to a personally guided tour of the Army Heritage Education Center.
