MIAMI, FL -- Miami Northwestern Senior High School JROTC "Bulls" Brigade's Raider team candidates held a dual modality Veterans Day Ceremony.
For November 11th 2020 Veterans' Day the Cadet Brigade Commander C/COL Bartbee had the Raider team candidates conduct a live ceremony on campus while other JROTC Students and Veterans participated at home remotely. While the event honored all Veterans, the Cadets wanted to be sure they did something very special for the all Veterans who are still quarantined. The Miami Dade County School Police also participated keeping a watchful eye that CDC and School District COVID protocols were followed. Because of the COVID19 World Wide pandemic, Miami Dade County Public Schools (4th largest School District in the USA) is operating to deliver student instruction both on-line and in person (dual modality).
The Cadets were very disappointed they cannot march in the Miami Beach Annual Veterans Day Parade and conduct Color Guard for Veterans Groups.
The AI SSG Georges who teaches JROTC in the dual modality mode said, “With nearly 300 Cadets, now, we can really be in two places at the same time.”
With the Influenza season and COVID-19 sill continuing to be a major concern, some schools around the globe have opted for some type of hybrid design that combines face-to-face instruction, remote learning, multimodality, flex-learning, hybrid-flexible and mode-neutral said the SAI COL Garcia who teaches JROTC in a single modality mode.
