CAMP HILL, PA -- On November 9th, CCHS JROTC Cadets Mitchell James, Joshua Weber, Aven Sandoval, Khoi Ngo, and Rebecca DuBose performed Color Guard duties at the Army Heritage Center’s (AHEC) unveiling of the new World War II D-Day educational exhibit titled “Liberation Pointe.” The new display honors the sacrifices of D-Day and WWII veterans. The display is part of an Eagle Scout project designed to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. Reenactors dressed in period military garb attended the ceremony while four actual D-Day veterans were also in attendance. Cadets were able to witness and take part in the dedication as the WWII veterans poured sand from each of the five D-Day beaches into the base of the monument.
