SAN ANTONIO, TX -- On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, the Highlands High School Family & Community Engagement Office and the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) joined efforts to help bring Thanksgiving Holiday happiness to 425 families in the Highlands community. At 7:30 AM, the San Antonio Food Bank delivered eleven pallets of foodstuff consisting of meat, milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, plus can and dry goods. By 2 PM, the food distribution came to a very successful completion, having supported the food needs of 1,612 individual family members. The Highlands High School Family & Community Engagement Office hopes to have another food distribution prior to the holidays in December.
