EL SERENO, CA -- In El Sereno California November 11, 2019 Veteran’s Day members of the Garfield High school performed its fourth Color Guard presentation of the Veteran’s Day weekend. The event like many across the nation was to honor all our Veterans that have served and have made many sacrifices for this country.

Over the past years the El Sereno annual ceremony is unique in its own way, with a Los Angeles Police Department Helicopter conducting a fly over, the Caesar Chavez Elementary leading in the Pledge of Allegiance, dynamic singer of the National Anthem song by Ms. Jaimmy Juarez, dance presentation by Army Samoan Veteran Semu Noa Grandchildren, State Senator Maria Elena Durzao 24th District and several other Veterans as Guest Speakers sharing their stories of service and sacrifice.

This event was presented by Councilmember Jose Huizar and the El Sereno Bicentennial Committee.
