Cypress Lake High School JROTC Supports Seven Veteran Organizations on Veterans Day

LEE COUNTY, WI -- Cypress Lake High School Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) provided support to seven Veteran organizations on Veterans Day.

Starting our morning at 0530 preparing Group A to attend their first event, a pinning ceremony for Vietnam-era Veterans at Jet Blue Park. The ceremony included the pinning of over 750 Vietnam veterans with the Congressional Authorized Vietnam Era Pin, and an Air Force Fly over. Group A continued with an 1100hr Color Guard Ceremony for the Bridgetown Veterans Group. Group B departed Cypress Lake High School at 0645 for their first Honor Guard of the day at Legends Retirement Community. Group B departed Legends at 0830 for their second event of the day which was a flag raising and Color Guard for the Kelly-Green Retirement Community. Group B departed Kelly Green at 0930 for their third event of the day which was flag raising and Color Guard for the Brookdale Retirement Community. Group B departed Brookdale at 1100 for their fourth event of the day which was a Color Guard for the Amavida Retirement Community.
