FORT MYERS, FL -- Collier Lee Honor Flight’s mission is to transport local Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to their service. Collier Lee was established 25 September 2013 to support veterans of Collier and Lee counties. Thirty-six students from Cypress Lake High School JROTC participated in this event by providing a Saber and Cadet Escort Honor Guard for ten Veterans that could not take the flight. Eighty-Seven veterans did however fly out to Washington D.C. for the event.

Cadet Honor Guards provided escort for the Veterans who were unable to make the flight. A Saber Honor Guard provided support to all ninety-seven Veterans. Cadets had an opportunity to meet and talk with veterans just before departure.
