LOS ANGELES, CA -- The USA triathlon Paratriathlon National Championships, which was sponsored by the Department of Defense along with Toyota was held on the 20th of July at Los Alamitos Beach. The Alamitos Beach proposed the site for the triathlon events at the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The athletes chased national titles in six sport classes. The athletes had to complete in a 20-kilometer bike ride, a 750-meter swim, and a five kilometer run in the event. The athletes who took part in the Paratriathlon National Championships will have an opportunity to qualify in the USA Paratriathlon development team program.

Our All- City Color Guard, from the Los Angeles Unified School District team was asked to support this national event. In this national event our Color Guard team had the opportunity to present the colors. Having been able to participate in an event like this to honor our nation and veterans, was meaningful and special to the cadets. This event provided a good lesson to the youth, who often forget how lucky they are.
