DUXFORD AIR FIELD, UK -- Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep School has been involved in a unique Cadet Exchange program with the Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Suffolk, UK. For the past three summers RHS has hosted 10 GMC cadets for a 10-day exchange program. Cadets are selected based on academics, discipline, leadership, and physical fitness. Once a cadet completes the 10-day exchange program, they may be selected to attend the 5-week RHS Summer Term the following summer. This summer, Cadets Abby Greer and Alex Fricke are attending the Summer Term and enjoying a wide variety of activities, experiences, and academic classes. During the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, they were at Duxford Air Field to celebrate with members of the British Army and the Combined Cadet Forces. Duxford was home to US Military Aircraft during WWII and is now the Imperial War Museum and Airfield. Pictured is Cadet Abby Greer with British PARA’s at Duxford Airfield.
