LOS ANGELES, CA -- The Garfield High School graduation was held at East Los Angeles College on June 7th, 2019. The U.S. Army JROTC Cadets from the Senior class performed the Last and Final guard. One of Garfield JROTC's Senior Cadets, C/2LT Anahi Jimenez, sang the National Anthem. Her talent as a singer has been an inspiration to the program as well as the Garfield HS community.

The Color Commander/Battalion Commander C/LTC Fatima Reyes (pictured commanding the final Senior Color Guard) will be attending Harvard University on a fully-funded Scholarship this fall majoring in law. C/LTC Reyes is a high school section leader, band member (flute), is a member of the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and she is President of the Organization "Girl Up".
