RICHMOND, VA -- On 30 March over 2000 JROTC Cadets converged on the Greater Richmond convention center for the 2019 Army Drill Team Championships. This year 103 teams from 85 schools traveled to Richmond from 25 different states, making this the largest single service drill meet in the history of JROTC. On hand to give out the trophies was the Director of the JROTC, COL Michael Stinnett, 7th BDE Commander COL David Welch, 4th BDE Commander COL Farrell Duncombe, and Richmond City Councilwoman Kimberly Gray. Taking home the first place trophy for the armed side was The Marmion Academy and the unarmed side was North Miami Beach HS.
