The attached memorandum, subject: Government Furnished Information Technology Equipment Support, dated 22 Jan 2019, signed by the USACC G6, authorizes JROTC school IT staff to provide support for government furnished computers, software, and peripheral equipment. JROTC Instructors and DAI personnel are encouraged to print a copy of the memorandum and provide to your school leadership and IT departments.
The contract for the initial classroom equipment provided by Army JROTC for new JROTC programs has been awarded to CDW-G. The equipment on this contract will be delivered in two groups. The computers will be imaged and shipped by USACC, G4. The remainder of the classroom equipment will be shipped by the vendor. Shipments under this contract are required to be completed NLT 30 April 2019. Please see the attached lists to review the equipment designated for your school.
USACC 2nd thru 8th Brigades coordinate with Brigade JROTC Instructors, DAIs, and JROTC staff personnel to identify individual JROTC unit IT and classroom equipment lifecycle requirements and submit those requirements to USACC, JROTC NLT 251700 OCT19. At a minimum, Brigades will contact the primary hand receipt holder at each JROTC unit to determine the lifecycle replacement requirements of each unit. Brigades will take care to identify and ensure school provided IT and classroom equipment is leveraged to the maximum extent possible.
