John H. Reagan High School's JROTC leads the 47th Annual Fiesta Patrias International Parade.

John H. Reagan High School's Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps was given the honor of leading the 47th Annual Fiesta Patrias International Parade in downtown Houston on September 19, 2015. The parade celebrates the rich Hispanic heritage and culture in Texas.  Several independent judges are selected by the parade committee to evaluate the JROTC units on appearance, marching and performance.
Last year during the parade, the Reagan JROTC Cadets outperformed over 20 JROTC units (all Services) within HISD and received the Honor of being the "Lead Honor Guard Position". That Saturday, to recognize this accomplishment, they were given the honor of leading the Fiesta Patrias International Parade through Houston. Over 30 Cadets from the Reagan High School JROTC Program participate including their Color Guard Team and their Drill Team known as the "Rough Riders" who are the current United States National Drill Competition Champions. Prior to the parade, Officials gathered at the corner of Texas and Crawford Street by Minute Maid Stadium to celebrate and kick off this year's parade.
