Ozark High School JROTC Drill Team Receive Nine 1st Place Awards at the Annual Mountain Grove Marine Corps JROTC Multi Service Drill Meet:

RK, MO – On Saturday January 31, 2015 the Ozark High School Junior ROTC Drill Team traveled to Mountain Grove to compete in the Annual Mountain Grove Marine Corps JROTC Multi Service Drill Meet. There were 11 schools participating in a total of six drill events. The six drill events were Color Guard, Armed Platoon Regulation Drill, Armed Exhibition Drill, Unarmed Platoon Inspection, Unarmed Platoon Regulation Drill, and Unarmed Exhibition Drill.

The Ozark Drill Team placed 1st in:

  • Color Guard “A”, Commanded by CDT/LTC Dallas Misemer
  • Color Guard “B”, Commanded by CDT/2LT Chance Miller
  • Armed Platoon Regulation, Commanded by CDT/MAJ Matt McCownArmed
  • Exhibition Drill, Commanded by CDT/MAJ Matt McCownUnarmed
  • Platoon Regulation, Commanded by CDT/LTC Dallas MisemerUnarmed
  • Platoon Inspection, Commanded by CDT/LTC Dallas MisemerUnarmed
  • Exhibition Drill, Commanded by CDT/CPT Lauren Crick
  • Individual Drill Down 1st Place, CDT/LTC Dallas Misemer
  • Mountain Grove Drill Competition Over-All Champion.

The Ozark JROTC Drill Team represented the Ozark School District and the Ozark Community in a professional manner and with a winning attitude. The 45 members of the Ozark Drill Team have put in many long hours of practice and are to be commended for their dedication and determination to compete against other outstanding JROTC programs from all Military Services.
