Kaiser JROTC Service Learning Project: Rebuilding Fontana one Home at a

For their Service Learning Project the Kaiser JROTC program chose to go out into their community and landscape yards.

Part of the JROTC curriculum is service learning and community service, both benefit the community; service learning also benefits the Cadets. Service learning must be closely related and integrated into the JROTC curriculum, and should result in significant learning related to the JROTC program.

Service learning makes connections between the classroom and the community and provides structured time for students to reflect on their service experiences. It is intended to instill a sense of civic responsibility by encouraging students to assess their impact upon the community as active contributors to society.
