Cadet John Cohen, uses his 'Make-A-Wish Foundation' request to meet with President Obama:

Cadet John Cohen, from Dr. John Horn HS JROTC, is disabled with spinal muscular atrophy.  He is terminal and used his 'Make-A-Wish Foundation' request to meet with President Obama.  Unbeknownst to John Horn HS the wish was granted last week during Sp
ring Break. The Make-A-Wish foundation notified the family of the wish being granted and allowed a camera interview in his home but informed his family not to notify anyone for security reasons.

Cadet Cohen met with President Obama in the White House and chose to wear his JROTC uniform during the visit.

Cadet Cohen is focused on two things in life: JROTC/military and improving accessibility and quality of life for people with disabilities.  He presented President Obama with his proposal where he would like the Pentagon to establish a corps for people with disabilities who want to serve their country.
